Sean Kingston’s 18 and ROCKS the VOTE!

February 14th, 2008

On his 18th birthday, Sunday, February 3, Sean Kingston registered to vote on DeclareYourself.com while recording his cover of ALice Cooper’s “I’m Eighteen.”

His Single is For A Voting Campaign Called Declare Yourself to get young Kids just turning 18 to vote. Even though almost all the lyrics are the same as I’m Eighteen by Alice Cooper (and I like her version a little better), this proud mama is happy that the ‘youth dem’ are ROCKIN THE VOTE!

Reggae Vibes: Munga Found Love!

February 14th, 2008

Well, its about 2 am in the morning and its officially Valentine’s Day. And really what does it truly mean to have a Valentine?

As you all know (or should know by now), I’m from Guyana - in South America and I’m a Caribbean BeautyFly Mommy. I am so thankful for the life and loves that I have in my life. My husband, Damion has ALWAYS been there for me and I want to dedicate this video to HIM. When I think about his love for me and how much we have gone through, I think of this song…

Now, for those of you who don’t know who this Jamaican Artist is, well, his name is Munga Honorable and he’s the sh*t. This song is definitly the softer side of him.

Be sure to check out “Reggae Vibes” OR “IBF MUSIC VIDEOS” section under “Hot Celebs” to the left for more videos and posts there.

Yes people, he’s Jamaican… Big Up to All the JA Massive!

Erykah Badu’s Advice on Motherhood

February 11th, 2008

Erykah embodies everything a BeautyFly woman is and with her distinctive mix of spirit, spirituality and street smarts, Ms. Badu broke the mold. This is what she had to say about her life…

“In the past, I did things in my own time, own speed and in my own way. When you have other people that you are responsible for, you have to create more options for yourself. My children motivate me to move and to be a good example of me … to be the best me I can be.

As far as my music? It’s still me. I’m not saying anything differently; I’m just saying it at a higher frequency. As I’ve grown, my music has grown. It’s like higher vibrations, without the same mistakes.”

Erykah’s next release, New Amerykah, will be out on February 26th. Check out her new video, comment and enjoy…

Will-i-am’s Yes We Can Video The Black Eyed Peas‘ frontman, songwriter and producer known as Will.i.am, was so inspired by Sen. Barack Obama’s presidential campaign and in particular by the speech he gave after the New Hampshire primary, he wrote about it.
